Dissemination of Complete Accessibility Information for Hiking

Recreational therapists are not able to access adequate information on trail suitability for the disabled. The National Park Service (NPS) views accessibility only in the scope of wheelchair access, however, accessibility includes many other factors, such as elevation profile, climbing requirements, surface makeup, rope line access, trail width, directional markings, service dog suitability, etc.

Create an app or website platform to inform park visitors on the real accessibility of any given trail in Rock Creek Park in Washington, DC, Great Falls Park in Virginia and the Chesapeake and Ohio National Historical Park in Maryland. The platform should also allow park visitors to upload photos or comments about trail accessibility to better inform future visitors.
